Chargebacks are fines that retailers impose on brands/suppliers when they violate the retailers standard product supply procedures. This can include delayed transit, poor packaging, insufficient labeling, etc. Chargebacks are so common in retail that most brands factor this into their ongoing costs of doing business. With that said, minimizing chargebacks can be an important component of profit maximization for brands, and manufacturers’ reps can be great partners for accomplishing this.
